Do you want to be healthy? This is a question we must ask ourselves. Many people talk about being healthy, but health is something you have to really want in order to follow through with the steps it takes to attain. First off, you want to make sure your spine is healthy. When your spine is healthy, your body functions more optimally. Beyond a healthy spine, there are tips to help your body continue to function well. I will highlight some turbo-charged health tips that will help you live a healthy life.
What is the best way to start your day? One important thing to do is get your liver going in the right direction. Your liver filters toxins that flow through your body, much like an oil filter in your car. It’s very important to detoxify your liver so it can continue to filter your bodies. How can you do this? Start each day with hot cup of water and juice from a squeezed wedge of lemon. This will help your liver, stimulate bile flow and stimulate your bowels.
Are you getting enough water? Many people have health issues because they’re dehydrated. We need to drink about half our weight in ounces of water a day (Example: If you weigh 140 pounds, you should drink 70 ounces of water) or at least a quart a day. You don’t want to drink more than 100 ounces a day because it takes minerals out of the body. Try to drink spring water or reverse osmosis water. Increasing your water intake will help cleanse your body, bathe your cells and help you have more energy.
Eating enough protein? Your body needs carbohydrates in the morning to help give you energy for the day. The problem is, many people eat too many carbohydrates and not enough protein. Protein is a mid-range glycemic food, meaning it helps your blood sugar stay steady through the day. Some good protein ideas to help start your day are eggs, oatmeal, flax seed, nuts and almonds. Protein helps make sure sugar doesn’t enter into your cells too quickly, and it helps you have the nutrients your body needs to heal.
I hope these tips help you live a more healthy life.
