BIRMINGHAM — The UAB baseball team is providing local youth baseball teams a chance to experience the game at the collegiate level.
UAB baseball community days provide free youth admission with a coupon, discounted tickets for family and friends, brief interaction with players, access to the front of the home dugout during the National Anthem, ceremonial first pitch from the community representative and in-game recognition, according to a UAB press release.
The community day for the Trussville, Clay and Pinson areas is Tuesday, March 10, when UAB plays Troy at 6:30 p.m. The game will be played at the new Regions Field in downtown Birmingham.
