TRUSSVILLE — The Trussville Rotary Daybreak Club Student of the Month is John Garrett Stanley, a senior at Clay-Chalkville High School.
Stanley is drum major for the high school band, a member of the symphonic band and a member of the math team. He plans to attend the University of South Alabama.

Stanley was asked to nominate a teacher who has impacted him as the Teacher of the Month. He selected his math teacher, Scott Phillips.
“Mr. Phillips has consistently challenged me to think beyond just math,” Stanley said. “He has been a big encourager for me.”
Jim ‘N Nick’s provided a gift card for Stanley and Staples provided a gift card for Phillips.
