CLAY — The restrooms project at Cosby Lake Park in Clay was nearly complete last week.
City Manager Ronnie Dixon said depending on the weather, April 1 could “maybe” be the completion date.
Work was being done last week to connect the bathrooms to the sewer. Dixon said the area was being changed from a septic tank to sewer “to help protect lake water quality.”
The work includes men’s and women’s bathrooms, and hand dryers.
The Clay City Council in December 2014 approved Millworks Construction out of Sarasota, Fla., for the project. Millworks’ bid was $76,444.20, almost $27,000 below the next lowest bidder.
Funds for the project will come from the capital fund budget.
