TRUSSVILLE — ACTA Theater in Trussville will present the play “Sense and Sensibility” April 10-12 and April 17-19.
Shows are at 7 p.m. on weeknights and Saturdays, and 2:30 p.m. on Sundays.
“Sense and Sensibility” is about the Dashwood sisters, Elinor and Marianne, who have different ideas about love. Elinor is practical and rational — the perfection of sense — while Marianne is emotional and sentimental — the embodiment of sensibility. Their mutual sufferings of fortune and fate bring a closer understanding between the sisters as true love finally triumphs when sense gives way to sensibility and sensibility gives way to sense.
The show’s director is Emily Lunsford.
The cast includes Angela Taylor, Erika Lindsey, Merrill Bettis, Margarita Lunsford, Kevin Garrett, Kathryn Gilmer, Clint Collins, Daniel Shivers, Julie Borden, Zac Higginbothom, Michael Lunsford, Wendy Riley, Tommy Riley, Lara Moore, Shawn LaSusa, Jordan Price, Meghan Godsey, Carleen Abercrombie, Mike Rowe, Cody Slusher, Joseph Lunsford and Grace Riley.
Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling the theater at 205-655-3902.
Ticket prices are $12 for adults, $10 for senior adults (age 60 and over), and $8 for students and children.
