BIRMINGHAM — The fourth annual Darter Festival is scheduled for Saturday, April 18 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Railroad Park in Birmingham.
The Darter Festival celebrates the watercress, vermillion and rush darters. The festival will highlight the darter populations in the Turkey Creek Watershed. Turkey Creek Nature Preserve is located in Pinson.

There will be live performances, barbecue, a bicycle parade, darter kite painting and kite flying, and a darter art sculpture exhibit.
