CLAY – At the Clay-Chalkville High School Senior Awards Program last Tuesday, the school unintentionally skipped over the accomplishments of a Class of 2015 student-athlete.
“Clay-Chalkville High School would like to send our most sincere apology to Jarrod Reedus and his family,” wrote principal Michael Lee in an email. “Jarrod’s name was accidentally skipped during the Senior Awards Program on May 5th, 2015.”
Reedus was an active defender on the Cougars’ 2015 Class 6A state championship team. The linebacker finished a 15-0 senior season with 118 total tackles and eight pass break-ups.
He later signed a football scholarship to the University of North Alabama.
“Jarrod is an outstanding young man that we are extremely proud of,” wrote Lee. “We look forward to hearing about the great things he will do as a student-athlete at the University of North Alabama.”
Standing at 5-foot-9, Reedus intends on pursuing a career in the Lions’ secondary.
