BIRMINGHAM – Two men have been arrested and charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine from a trailer park in Irondale to an undisclosed location.
22-year-old Guillermo Alvarez of Oakland, Cal. and 27-year-old Juan Migel Lopez-Soto of Irondale remain in the Jefferson County Jail under a $100,000 bond each.
Upon the arrest, the pair possessed 90 grams of methamphetamine and a handgun. That amount of meth holds a street value of about $13,000.
Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies were informed by another law enforcement agency on June 4 that the two men would be transporting drugs out of Irondale.
Authorities stopped Alvarez and Lopez-Soto on Interstate 20 West near Kilgore Memorial Drive in Irondale.
