JEFFERSON COUNTY – According to a source, over 40 coaches will be on hand at an upcoming JefCoEd board meeting.
These Jefferson County coaches find particular interest in the topic of pay raises. It’s believed that the board will be voting on whether or not to extend salary increases to its coaches.
If passed, the upgrade in pay would be a first for Jefferson County coaches in 12 years, said the source.
The proposal would pull county coaches up to “average” salaries when compared to similar school systems.
The board will meet Thursday at 10 a.m.
