The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office asks you to join them for National Night Out tonight, August 4th, at three locations. This is an effort to promote “Keeping Neighborhoods and Communities Safe” by providing an opportunity for neighbors to meet neighbors and interact with Law Enforcement. The first will be held at Sylvan Springs Town Hall from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.; the address is 100 Rock Creek Road. The second will be in the parking lot of the Center Point Satellite Courthouse from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.; the address is 2651 Center Point Parkway. The third will be along with the Bessemer Police Department at the Target Parking lot in McCalla.
National Night Out is an annual event that promotes neighborhood spirit and law enforcement-community partnerships. At each location Sheriff’s Office personnel will be present with displays of equipment and information about law enforcement operations. There will also be food, music and fun. Sheriff Mike Hale will make an appearance at each of the locations.
