BIRMINGHAM — Two adults are in custody, while two children are in child protective services after an investigation by Jefferson County sheriff’s office uncovered cocaine and methamphetamine in a mobile home at the 4000 block of Pinson Valley Parkway last night, according to a release by the department today.
The department said deputies executed a search warrant at the home around 9 p.m. Monday night, and discovered three ounces of cocaine and 12 ounces of methamphetamine, valued at $42,000.
Francisco Jacobo, 23, of north Jefferson County, was arrested and charged with trafficking methamphetamine and trafficking cocaine. He is jailed in the Jefferson County jail with a bond of $40,000.
Carrie Love, 26, also of north Jefferson County, was arrested on trafficking methamphetamine charges and is also in the Jefferson County jail with a $40,000 bond.
Two children, ages 4 and 2, were placed in protective custody by the Department of Human Resources.
