MOBILE – Clay-Chalkville took some momentum into McGill-Toolen’s Dirty Dozens Tournament over the weekend, but finished 2-4 against some stiff competition in Mobile.
The Cougars captured wins over Hancock and Daphne to return home with an overall mark of 7-5.
Clay-Chalkville got strong performances from a pair of seniors. Setter Anastasia Brackin delivered 102 assists over the weekend, while fellow senior Kardasia Hitchcock powered her way to 50 kills.
Head coach Natasha Brown and the Cougars will invite Shades Valley for a visit tonight. Clay-Chalkville hopes to improve its Class 6A, Area 12 record to 2-0 with a win over the Mounties.
