TRUSSVILLE — Turn Trussville Pink, an annual event supporting breast cancer awareness, begins Tuesday, Oct. 13 with a kickoff party downtown at Three Earred Rabbit, beginning at 6 p.m. There will be pink bows and balloons to pick up at the event.

The Tri-City Pink Out and the AKW Foundation just donated a check to the UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center for $35,000 last year. Each city is hosting their own pink-out this year.
An event at Chick-Fil-A begins Monday, Oct. 12 and will run through Wednesday, Oct. 14 that will donate 15 percent of your purchase to the event if customers tell cashiers to keep the ticket.
On Wednesday, Sherry’s Cafe will offer a slice of Turn Trussville Pink cake, an annual favorite. Waffle House Trussville will have pink waffles at the Chalkville Road location. Gym 24e fitness will offer $25 per month memberships to help residents get fit with Turn Trussville Pink. Applebee’s will have a block party on the Wednesday night as well to close the event.
