TRUSSVILLE — Trussville resident Candice McCool took home the national crown as Mrs. USA Petite on Monday. She also was awarded Mrs. Photogenic, the National Costume Award and people’s choice social media award.
The moment she was named Mrs. USA Petite was a surreal moment.
“I felt this overwhelming sense of happiness and pure joy when they announced me as Mrs. USA Petite 2015,” McCool said. “I’d been preparing for this moment for a year and it was actually happening.”
Being part of this competition was something McCool was very honored by, because of its focus on the community service aspect of the participants.
“I feel honored to have shared the stage with the other Mrs. contestants because every single one of them posses integrity, determination and a sincere desire to make their community, state and the world a better place.”
As Mrs. USA Petite 2015, McCool said she plans to use the title to promote her “Move Beyond” platform, designed to help others rise to new heights and move beyond tragedy.
