TRUSSVILLE – The Hewitt-Trussville Middle School cross country teams logged top five finishes on Thursday to end 2015 on a high note. On the boy’s side, Nathan Knox led the way to a second place team finish. Amelia Brady led the girls to a fifth place finish out of 12 teams.
Brady placed third overall, Kaley Grace Howard placed 25th, Ellie Kate Jones placed 30th, Brooke Bailey placed 42nd, and Sydney White placed 45th out of 267 runners.
For the boys, Knox finished third overall, Andrew Guarino placed 12th, Mac Brooks placed 15th, Kent Glover placed 16th, Ayrton Purdy placed 17th, and Sam Lovin placed 19th out of 276 runners.
The season also included top finishes for both the Boys and Girls teams at Dew it On the Trails on Oct. 10, and second place finishes for both teams at the St. Vincent’s Husky Challenge last weekend.
