For the girls, Marlee Mason, Sydney Hall and Amelia Brady all finished with gutty performances. In the guys run, John Ngaruiya, Ben Knox and Austin Atkinson stopped the clock in time to qualify.
Mason, who committed to UAH on Friday, finished 4th overall and was the first Husky representative to cross the line. She stopped the clock at 19:51.39. Mountain Brook’s Frances Patrick finished at 19:37.23 to claim the top prize.
Cole Stidfole of Oak Mountain was the first boy to finish (16:15.20). Ngaruiya finished 3rd overall and Knox, also a recent UAH pledge, finished 6th out of 74 listed runners.
