BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Police Department reported Wednesday that detectives have arrested and charged a juvenile suspect in connection with three homicide investigations according to Birmingham police Lt. Sean Edwards. The incidents occurred Friday, Oct. 23, in the 1300 block of McMillon Avenue Southwest and Saturday, Nov. 14, in 1300 block of Cotton Avenue Southwest.
The victims have been identified as Kenneth Davidson, 34, of Birmingham, Shundria Peoples, 26, of Birmingham and Tramone Mitchell, 22, of Hoover.
The suspect has been identified as a 15-year-old black male, and is in the custody of family court.
Davidson and Peoples were shot in a parking lot where police found them on Oct. 23 in a 2003 Ford Taurus suffering from gunshot wounds to the chest. Both victims were pronounced dead on the scene.
In regards to all three homicides, detectives were able to locate key witnesses who were able to identify the suspect as the shooter in both incidents. Detectives are also working another homicide case that might involve this same suspect.
“It is a sad day when a 15-year-old commits this level of violence at such a young age. He has definitely distinguished himself as a killer,” Edwards said.
Details surrounding the case are confidential as the suspect is a juvenile.
