TRUSSVILLE — Trussville’s Amerex Corporation broke ground earlier this year to expand their storage space at their location on U.S. 11. The company said the building will be in front of the mail facility and will also include new offices, along with the storage space.
The building will be a 40,000 square foot space and will house some of the materials brought into the facility through their receiving department, rather than storing the product outside and awaiting their move inside. It will also allow the company to bring in raw materials directly inside the facility.
Additionally, some of the manufactured products will be stored as they await either final assembly components or shipping instruction.
“The goal here is to eliminate the 40’ container trucks you sometimes see in the parking lots. We’re striving to keep the area as presentable as possible in an effort to present an attractive facility to the Trussville community. The new offices and an employee lounge were added, as space within the corporate offices have become completely utilized,” Vice President of Sales Andy Halasz said. “Amerex enjoys continues growth, and remains one of the world’s leading manufacturers of fire extinguishers and fire suppression products.”
