TRUSSVILLE –The National Weather Service in Birmingham has placed most of The Trussville Tribune coverage area under an “elevated threat” for severe weather beginning at 3 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon until 9 a.m. on Thursday.
This threat could include tornadoes, 70 mph winds, golf ball size hail.
“There could be severe thunderstorms at any time from around 3 p.m. this afternoon through at least the morning hours on Thursday,” NWS-Birmingham posted on social media. “There will not be severe thunderstorms during that entire time, however. And, the chances of severe storms (and especially the tornado threat) will decrease (but not to zero) after about 6 a.m. Thursday morning.”
