BIRMINGHAM — An argument tonight in Center Point left one man in the hospital suffering from a gunshot wound.
Just before 8:30 Sunday night, Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies responded to the 20th block of Haversham Circle in Center Point, and found the 29-year-old victim lying in the apartment parking lot suffering from gunshot wounds. He was then transported to an area hospital, but his injuries are not considered life threatening.
Deputies said the initial investigation indicates the victim got into an argument with another man there in the parking lot. The man pulled a gun and shot him. The suspect then got into a green Dodge Ram truck with another man and fled the scene.
The investigation is ongoing. Updates will be provided as they become available.
