CENTER POINT — Wynston Kenderre Ellis, 24, was arrested after Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies responded to a car burglary call and found him leaning in the window of a white Ford Escape, according to Chief Deputy Randy Christian.
Just after 11:30 Wednesday night, deputies responded to the 1800 block of Bond Circle in Center Point. They arrived to find Ellis leaning in the window of a white Ford Escape with the alarm on the vehicle was sounding and a window broken out.
Ellis ran away on foot when he noticed the deputies. A description was broadcast to other responding deputies. He was captured after a brief foot pursuit. He was arrested and charged with unlawful breaking and entering a vehicle, attempting to elude and public intoxication.
He remains in the Jefferson County jail with bond set at ,500.
