TRUSSVILLE — Relay for Life is kicking off their 2016 campaign with an event at Spare Time Entertainment Center of Saturday, Jan. 23, beginning at 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
Relay for Life is an organization focused on celebrating life while raising money and awareness to support people with cancer. The Relay for Life is a community event, a festival and a celebration of life, although sometimes people might be deterred from participating in the event believing they have to run or be athletic.
“Our main goal will always be to celebrate more birthdays and save lives,” Elizabeth Pridgen said. “Relay for Life’s mission to raise money toward serving people as they undergo cancer treatment, celebrating survivors and honoring all the lives touched by cancer — while having fun and enjoying community.”
This event will allow anyone who would like to sign up as a sponsor or a team to do so.
A $20 package for the event will include one game of bowling, a shoe rental, one game of laser tag and $5 on an entertainment card to be used in the game room.
