JEFFERSON COUNTY — Just before 10 p.m. Sunday night, Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies were called to investigate a robbery at the Grille 29 restaurant in the 900 block of Brookwood Village.
It was reported that two black males entered the business through the backdoor with one of the males armed with a handgun and the other carrying pepper spray.
The suspects allegedly announced a robbery and ordered the employees to lay on the floor. The suspects went to the front of the business then out the backdoor.
Nothing was taken and no one was injured. One suspect fired a single shot as they fled across the parking lot. No one was struck. The suspects left the scene in a red Chevrolet HHR.
