From Trussville Tribune staff reports
PINSON –Pinson Valley High School student Kim Turner didn’t come home from school on Tuesday, which sent her mother, Elaine Turner, on a mission to find out where her daughter was.
After backtracking, Elaine realized that Kim never made it to school at all on Tuesday and her concern grew. By Tuesday night, she had filed a missing person report with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
As of Sunday morning, Elaine still hasn’t heard from Kim, despite working feverishly on social media to find her daughter and make contact. She’s worried about, among other things, Kim’s health.
Kim suffers from Epilepsy and has been known to have grand mal seizures, a condition she takes medication to control.
“I have her medicine,” Kim said. “She has no medication on her.”
Turner is not believed to be in any danger, according to the sheriff’s office, but her return is very important to her family and deputies want to find her.
“We are doing everything a law enforcement agency can do related to a missing or runaway 18-year-old just as we do in every case,” Chief Deputy Randy Christian said. “Getting any more specific than that would be reckless on our part.”
If you have any information on her whereabouts, contact the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office at 205-325-1450.
