JEFFERSON COUNTY — Two seventeen year old teens are in custody after breaking into a home on McDuffie Rd between Pinson and Clay Thursday. Just after 9 a.m. this morning, Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a burglary in progress at a home in the 6600 block of McDuffie Road.

One suspect fled into a black Kia SUV and was stopped by deputies a short distance away. The second suspect fled on foot. The suspect in the Kia was arrested at the scene of the stop.
The second suspect ran from deputies, but was located hiding in a wooded area near the 5800 block of Bud Holmes Road. The teens were both from Center Point.
