Special to The Trussville Tribune
TRUSSVILLE –Dr. Pattie Neill, Superintendent of Trussville City Schools, was the featured speaker at the Trussville Area Chamber of Commerce (TACC) monthly luncheon on Thursday, sponsored by the Trussville City Schools Foundation.
Dr. Neill shared information on the school system’s recent accreditation. The process, she said, focused on the impact of teaching and learning, the capacity of leadership, and the use of resources. The accreditation panel praised the system, stating they had never seen a system score over 300 in all three areas, according to Dr. Neill.

The system also submitted an application on innovative practices to the state department, which resulted in a recent visit by state superintendent Dr. Tommy Bice. Dr. Neill also shared information on the progress of the construction and renovation of our three elementary schools. It is still hoped that the two new schools will open on time in August.
