From staff reports
TRUSSVILLE –Rotary District Governor Pat Cross recently presented two awards to the Trussville Rotary Daybreak Club.
The first award recognised the club for contributing at least $1,500 toward polio research and eradication.
The second award involved “Every Rotarian Every Year” recognition, which means club members contributed 0 or more per member (one of only seven clubs in the district to do so).
Dave Reese of Turner Batson Architects provided an update on downtown redevelopment. The Downtown Redevelopment Authority (DRA) is currently focusing on property acquisition and stakeholder awareness on the corner behind the Straw Hat, an area known as ‘Quad 1’ in downtown Trussville.
The Trussville Rotary Club now meets at Spare Time Entertainment located at 3600 Roosevelt Blvd. in Trussville. The Club meets at 7 a.m. on Wednesday mornings.
