BESSEMER –Just before 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. deputies were called to a residence in the 200 block of Elm Street SW near Bessemer to investigate a report of a shooting.
Information at the scene is that several people were sitting outside in a vacant lot drinking, Chief Deputy Randy Christian said in a statement released by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
An argument erupted. Two men pulled guns and began shooting. Four adults were struck.
All injured were transported to the hospital and the extent of their injuries are unknown at this time.
The shooters fled the scene and are at large.
