JEFFERSON COUNTY –Just before 9 a.m. Monday, deputies were called to the 100 block of 23rd Avenue NE in Center Point to investigate a report of a shooting. When deputies arrived, they found a 34-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg lying in the driveway of a nearby residence in the 2200 block of 2nd Street NE.

Deputies were told at the scene that the man and a woman involved in the incident are married and in the process of divorce. The man does not live at the residence, but came by Monday morning. A fight ensued and the woman shot him in the leg. The woman remained at the scene and was questioned by Sheriff’s detectives. She refused to provide any statement or answer any questions about the shooting.
The investigation confirmed her as the aggressor, culminating in her shooting him in the leg and kicking him while he was on the ground. The male victim was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The wife, 30-year-old Printess Monique Vann, of Center Point, was arrested and charged with domestic violence assault 1st Degree. She posted $25,000 bond and was released.
