BIRMINGHAM — Birmingham’s premier St. Patrick’s Day event is moving to a new location. Due to its increased popularity in past years, the Arc of Jefferson County’s Fourth Annual Shamrock Shindig will be held at the Sloss Furnaces’ Visitor’s Center. The event will take place on Saturday, March 12, from 7 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. with catering by Rusty’s BBQ, live music by Birmingham’s own Schmohawks, plentiful libations, an iron pour and a chance to win $3,000. The Shamrock Shindig is sure to continue the tradition of providing a night of spectacular entertainment. All proceeds go toward advancing the Arc’s mission of serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the State of Alabama.
Tickets are $30 per person or $50 per couple. With each ticket, event goers also get a chance to win some wonderful prizes including the $3,000 Pot O’ Gold cash prize, a $500 Diamonds Direct gift card, 50 Free Waffles at Waffle House, a LifeTime Fitness membership, tickets to Alabama Theatre’s Summer Film Series and so much more.
To purchase tickets, visit www.arcofjeff.org.
Last year alone, the event raised more than $25,000 that went to The Arc’s job placement programs, day activities and residential homes for adults and an early intervention program for children. We would love your help in continuing to make this event a success. Come join the fun and experience the luck of Irish for yourself.
