JEFFERSON COUNTY – Just after 9:30 a.m. on Feb, 13, deputies were called to a convenience store on Lock 17 Road to investigate a report of the robbery of a person.
According to Jefferson County sheriff’s Chief Deputy Randy Christian, the adult female victim reported that she had become lost while attempting to locate the address of a client. She pulled to the side of Paul Allman Road near Lock 17 Road to check her GPS. At that point, a black Ford F-150 pulled in behind her and two males got out.
One of them approached the driver window and the other approached the passenger side. The female victim got out to talk with them. The younger of the two then reached into her car and took her purse. The older suspect took her cell phone and smashed it on the ground. The pair then returned to their truck and left.
The suspects are described as white males wearing blue jeans, dark shirts and western boots. Both were wearing baseball caps. The truck is described as an early 2000’s model black F-150 four door with a chrome brush guard.
A sketch of the suspects was completed. Anyone who recognizes these men or has information about this case is asked to call the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office at 205-325-1450 or Crime Stoppers at 205-254-7777
