Registered nurses are invited to the Crisis Center to learn about helping survivors of sexual assault.
At this specialized and extensive training, attendees will learn how to give a forensic exam, collect an individuals medical forensic history, a detailed physical and emotional assessment, written/electronic and photographic documentation, collect and manage forensic samples and how to provide emotional and social support and resources.
The first session will take place April 15-16 from 8:30 a.m.-5 pm., and the second session will take place April 29-30 during the same time frame.
Anyone interested in participating in the four day, two-session training should contact SANE coordinator jamick@crisiscenterbham.com. The training is free to any registered nurse who would like to participate.
