One of the country’s fastest growing grocery store chains is about to open another location in the Birmingham area, this time calling Trussville home.

With two other locations already in Birmingham at Brookwood Village and along Highway 280, the Trussville store will be located on Gadsden Highway in Homestead Village.
Focused on smaller stores that offer fresh meats, seafood, vegetables and fruit, the Greensboro, North Carolina based company has grown to a 168 store presence in 27 states.
Drewry Sackett, The Fresh Market’s public affairs manager says shoppers will find an amazing selection at the new store.
“Our stores offer a large produce department with over 400 items, including a large selection of organic produce as well as items that are sourced locally, Sackett said. “In addition, we provide a full service meat and seafood department, with freshly ground beef and butchers on site every day.”
Sackett said the European-style deli will feature more than 200 varieties of imported and domestic cheeses, as well as a wide variety of ready-to-serve items.
“Our in-store bakery produces more than 30 kinds of freshly baked breads and a variety of pies and other decadent desserts. In addition, customers will find unique selections in our grocery, bulk, coffee, candy and floral departments.”

According to Sackett, it is the goal of The Fresh Market to provide a unique grocery shopping experience in a warm and inviting atmosphere, featuring high-quality, fresh foods and excellent customer service.
“Our stores, products and employees inspire people to make everyday eating extraordinary,” Sackett said.”
With several other grocery chains making moves into the Birmingham market in recent months, Sackett said that their company is always looking for a place where shoppers will appreciate what they have to offer, and he feels positive that Trussville is a perfect fit for The Fresh Market.
