BIRMINGHAM – Birmingham Police Detectives are conducting a homicide investigation after an incident on Saturday.
The incident occurred in the 1300 block of Lake Lane, where officers responded to reports of a person shot around 9:30 p.m. The neighborhood is located between Old Springville Road and Center Point Parkway.
The victim, Ronald Brown, 55 of Birmingham, was found suffering a gunshot wound to the body at the listed location. He was transported to UAB Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injures.
Detectives found upon investigation that the victim was home with his wife and son when the shooting occurred. The victim’s wife stated that she heard a gunshot, so she came to the living room and found her husband on the floor.
It is unknown at this time who shot the victim, as the investigation is ongoing.

Just looked it up on Google maps… It is considered Huffman, not Center Point. Center Point does have its issues but don’t blame them for everything.
