TRUSSVILLE –Signing day is still a long way off, but the 2016 football season will kickoff before you know. Let’s take a look at the area’s top recruits at this point.
The top local recruit is Nico Collins from Clay-Chalkville. Collins has a four star rating from the 24/7 Sports Composite rating system. He is considered by some recruiting services to be the top recruit in the state and currently holds 20 offers from schools such as Alabama, Georgia, Michigan and Auburn. In total, ten SEC schools have offered the Cougar receiver.
Also listed, but not rated are Eddie Rox and Keilend Clayton who have four offers between them.
Noah Igbinoghene is the top rated recruit from Hewitt-Trussville with a three star rating from the 24/7 Sports Composite rating system. He has 17 offers including Duke, Maryland, Virginia Tech and Notre Dame.
Also listed, but not rated were Grayson Cash, Nicholas Jackson, David Acfalle, Connor Adair, and Christian Smith who have 31 offers between them.
The Pinson Valley Indians will enter the season with two players listed, though neither is rated at this point. Torrey Hendrix and Liallen Dailey have one offer between them and will be looking to build their resumes throughout the season.
