Amen! They never tell the good stories! They never help promote small businesses, it’s basically a gossip column.

Well, obviously having a law against risking the lives of everyone you pass on the road isn’t enough…Perhaps public shaming will work.

don’t agree with putting his face out there.true he shouldn’t be drinking and driving but nothing happened thank God!! this is no reason to put his pic on here..

    Paul Scott Pinson

They should do follow up stories on folks who have grown up in that area and moved on and are successful in life. I know quite a few.

  13. 18

    Paul Scott Pinson

The Trussville Tribune yeah like that. Just do those more often.

  14. 19

    Sam Woodward

No reason to embarrass someone. He obviously made a horrible decision and will pay the consequences. No need to plaster the guys face all over Facebook.

  15. 20

    Alexis Little

Why are people complaining? He drove drunk. He broke a major law that could have cost the lives of many people. I bet if he killed one of your family members y’all would be burning him at the stake yourselves. Get over it.

  16. 21

    Rachael Joyce

This isn’t even journalism. Find something relevant or helpful to report, please. This isn’t news.

  17. 22

    Emmi Pruitt

Memphis has a whole newspaper dedicated to showing people’s mug shots. It’s quite popular and does make some people regret their actions more. Having known Justin as a kid this is extremely disappointing but maybe it’ll keep him from breaking the law again. Drunk driving is one of the most stupid, selfish things anyone can do.

  18. 23

There’s always a human interest story that could be told.

  19. 25

    Christina White

The people complaining OBVIOUSLY support drunk driving. Like OMG Becky, we should totally run our own newspaper place, like yeah! *pops gum*

Hey lets try to ruin this kid!!! Pathetic The Trussville Tribune. You ought to be ashamed of yourself.

  24. 30

    Alexis Little

This “kid” isn’t a kid and ruined himself. Stop defending someone who could have killed people!

Damn!! Let’s just kick a kid while he down! No I’m not justifying his actions but really!! I’m sure there are more important stories to cover!

  28. 34

    Josh Jones

Alexis Little you must have a personal vendetta against this guy.

  29. 35

    Michael Blankenship

funny people complain about this story but if he would have and killed someone it would have still ended up in the paper. maybe it will make him think twice before putting someone’s else life in jeopardy.

  30. 36

    Tjo Johnson

……but it would be news worthy if while driving drunk he had killed an innocent person… Right Wallace Wahd? Keep up the good work Tribune. Maybe a little public humiliation might save his life.

  31. 37

    Alexis Little

Wallace Wahd are you serious right now? You’re blaming the establishment? That’s absolute bullshit. They didn’t pour liquor or beer down his throat. They didn’t force keys into his hand. They didn’t put him on the road and make him swerve. They didn’t put innocent lives at risk. He made these decisions and acted upon them.

  32. 38

    Alexis Little

Josh Jones nope. Don’t know him from Adam. But I know what drunk driving can do. It kills. It’s pouring other people’s lives at risk. And to see people coddling him and defending him makes me sick. He might not be a bad guy, but he did a bad thing and needs to face full consequences.

  33. 39

    Alexis Little

Would it be more important to you if he had killed someone? Would that be some juicy news?

  34. 40

    Wallace Wahd

Alexis Little Yea I am serious and this is not a matter that needs to be stamped all over social media. It was a simple DUI- 9/10 people who leave a bar could be given one just like it …. If the guy hit something or was involved in an accident of some sort…. Yea. It was a $1000 bond run of the Mill DUI. Big Fn Deal. It’s hyenas like yourself who need to be checked. Lol.

  35. 41

    Alexis Little

Wallace Wahd you sound like the same type of person that would blame a victim of rape for enticing the rapist.

This man made the decision. He could have hurt someone. He could have killed someone. So yeah. You do the crime, you take the consequences. Being ridiculed and facing the music being one of them.

  36. 42

    Wallace Wahd

Alexis Little it’s a F’n charge. Are you even listening to yourself!? He’s not guilty till he’s proven guilty. It doesn’t belong in any sort of news for people like yourself to cast their judgements and shame the guy. You know nothing about It. These “charges” are thrown out all the time.

  37. 43

    Alexis Little

They wouldn’t have gone through the trouble to charge him if he wasn’t somewhat intoxicated. They have breathalyzers for a reason. If he had blown a clean number he wouldn’t have a mug shot. Lol. Obviously he blew over the limit or they would have let him go.

  38. 44

    Alexis Little

Blowing over the legal limit means you’re drunk. I have no tolerance for drunk or impaired driving. It’s killed too many people. And people like you who excuse it are just continuing the trend.

  39. 45

    Wallace Wahd

Alexis Little you know nothing child. Really. Live a little longer before you try to have opinions. You sound foolish.

  40. 46

    Deanna Hunt

Because breaking the law and risking other people’s lives is news worthy. Good reporting…keep it up!!!

  41. 47

    Alexis Little

I’m far from a child. And I’m the one who sounds foolish? You’re the one defending someone who was in the wrong and could have hurt someone.

  42. 48

    Wallace Wahd

Alexis Little “Charged” …. He will have his say in court. When he is guilty and the tribune wants to slam the guy have at it. I have known people who were charged and not guilty. Just because someone is charged DOES not mean they are guilty. You know nothing and it shows.

  43. 49

    Alexis Little

If you blow over and go to jail for it and have a bond set, tell me how that means he is not guilty? Unless his daddy has connections, he’s guilty.

  44. 50

    Wallace Wahd

And not that it’s ANY OF UR business.. His bac was ONLY .02% FAR lower than the actually legal limit of .08%

  48. 55

    Jordan Kennemur

I don’t think everyone complaining necessarily supports drunk driving…. This is just a shitty ass platform to do this

  49. 56

    Jordan Kennemur

Y’all are grown ass people acting like you never made a poor decision or a mistake in your life…..most of y’all are lucky you’re too old and missed the opportunity of being put on blast by people who don’t know a thing about you…..just because no one made a gaint spectacle of mistakes you’ve made doesn’t make it okay to talk down on someone who clearly has made a mistake of thier own

  50. 57

    Jennifer Poole

And the ONLY reason he was arrested is because he is under the age of 21 – had he been 21+ this would NEVER have been a DUI!

  51. 58

    Alexis Little

My mistakes couldn’t have cost someone’s life. So.

  52. 59

    Alexis Little

But he’s a minor that consumed alcohol. Still illegal. Lol.

  53. 60

    Alexis Little

I didn’t say a witch hunt. But you’re making him out to be some poor kid that the media is attacking and he’s not. Lol.

  54. 61

    Alexis Little

In a DUI case, they don’t take you to jail unless you blow an illegal amount. Jennifer Poole you said yourself he blew a .2 correct? As a minor that’s illegal. Therefore, he’s guilty. You can’t argue against a breathalyzer. Lol.

  55. 62

Way to put a person out there like that sorry bastereds The Trussville Tribune

  62. 69

    Christina White

Most of the comments is complaining about posting his picture, that’s who my comment is directed to.

  63. 71

    Alexis Little

I have zero tolerance for impaired driving of any kind. He’s probably not a bad person. But he made a bad mistake. Like I’ve said multiple times, he was doing something illegal and should be punished. Don’t want to see your face all over the internet? Don’t get in trouble with the law. His mistake could have cost someone their life even if it was just his first offense.

  64. 72

    Alexis Little

Lol that sounds pretty good to me.

  65. 74

    Carlie Scroggins

Homeboy didn’t even drive drunk. He was under the legal limit but underage so he automatically gets charged with a DUI. That’s why people are complaining because the titles misleading…but carry on assuming everything you read is true.

  66. 75

    Alexis Little

I don’t care what homeboy did. He was a minor who drove drunk. That’s illegal. If we let him slide we let others slide and someone ends up dead. I’m really surprised so many people are defending someone who broke the law.

  67. 76

    Carlie Scroggins

“In a DUI case they don’t take you to jail unless you blow over the legal limit” & that quote right there proves how little you really know. You obviously aren’t aware that they can take you to jail and charge you with whatever they want even if you haven’t taken a breathalyzer test? It’s actually within your right to refuse a breathalyzer.

  68. 77

    Wallace Wahd

Carlie Scroggins We are arguing with a child. She knows nothing. Let it go.

  69. 78

    Jordan Kennemur

Aka not your business…… Why are you wasting your time talking about someone you don’t even know….I’m sure you’re perfect girl… but the rest of us aren’t and it’s not cool to publicly bash and pass judgement on people ……you’ve never made a mistake so you can’t relate….so clearly the Internet is not the place for you to give you’re two cents….I’m just confused why you have so much to say……not all of us can be perfect like yourself Alexis Little

  70. 79

    Alexis Little

Jordan Kennemur I’ve never said I was perfect. And I don’t think it’s wasting my time. People don’t seem to have any concept of how dangerous drunk driving is. I get it. He wasn’t “drunk”. But he was still intoxicated by the laws standards. And if we let him slip through unpunished, other people who are drunk will begin to slip. People die every day from these little mistakes. I’m tired of watching friends and family be buried because someone else didn’t think twice.

  71. 80

    Jordan Kennemur

Girl everyone gets what you’re saying, just no one cares to hear your option on it……Let the legal system handle him because I don’t believe you’re qualified
