CALHOUN COUNTY — A two vehicle crash at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday has claimed three lives.
The crash occurred on Old Gadsden Highway, two miles north of Anniston.
Melanie Brown Hurst, 39 of Anniston, was killed when the 2006 Honda Civic she was driving collided with a 1990 Ford Ranger driven by Jordan Stewart Baker, 20 of Ohatchee.
Hurst was pronounced dead on the scene and Baker was airlifted to UAB Hospital.
Tow passengers in the Honda Civic, Melanie Dawn Trantham, 43 of Anniston, and Joy Ann Howell, 74 of Anniston were also pronounced dead on the scene.
Baker was refusing to stop for a Calhoun County Deputy at the time of the crash.
The crash is under investigation.
