From The Trussville Tribune Staff Reports
PINSON – The Alabama Department of Transportation is closing north and southbound lanes of Highway 79 starting October 7.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane from milepost 14.2 to milepost 16.4 using flagmen from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. approximately three miles north of Pinson.
The purpose of the closure is to install asphalt pavement south of the intersection of Highway 79 and Bradford Road, near the new entrance to the Northern Beltline.
Motorists should use caution in the area, seek alternate routes, adjust arrival and departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs.
