CENTER POINT — The Center Point Eagles, who put up a season-high 30 points last week in a loss to Pinson Valley, will travel to take on the Parker Thundering Herd on Thursday night at 7 at Major Brown Memorial Stadium.
It is a non-region game for the Eagles, who are 0-8 and 0-5 in Class 6A, Region 6. Parker is 3-3, 2-3 in 6A, Region 5 and still has a shot at a playoff berth, despite losing three straight games.
The Eagles are on a school-record 15-game losing streak, dating back to a Sept. 18, 2015, loss to Gardendale. Their last win was a 6-0 decision over Woodlawn the week before.
However, the 30 points scored in the 57-28 loss to the Indians last week was the most points the Eagles have scored since a 33-7 win over Woodlawn in 2014.
Center Point closes the season next week, Friday, Oct. 21, at home against Gardendale in a Region 6 game.
