SYLACAUGA – A two-vehicle crash at 11:35 p.m. on Wednesday has claimed the life of a Sylacauga woman and injured another.
The crash occurred on Alabama Highway 21, two miles north of Sylacauga.
Latonya Chrystal Annette Boone, 32, was killed when the 2003 Ford Taurus she was driving collided with a 2014 Toyota Corolla, driven by Ashelea Jonelle McCain, 26 of Sylacauga.
Both cars left the roadway, and the Taurus struck a tree. Boone, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead on the scene. McCain was transported to Coosa Valley Medical Center to be treated for injuries.
Alabama State Troopers are continuing to investigate.
