From The Trussville Tribune Staff Reports
TRUSSVILLE – Trussville Gas and Water is currently working a gas leak in the Longmeadow Subdivision.
According to Mike Strength with Trussville Gas and water, a telephone company broke through a plastic main, causing the leak at 6100 Longmeadow Circle. Strength said the company is working on a bypass, which at this time is halfway complete, but should be complete within 20 minutes. Strength said the repairs will take several hours.
Strength said only one home was evacuated during the incident.
A section of the subdivision is closed at this time. Children who ride the bus that live in the neighborhood will be returned to their school, according to Mrs. Jones, and all parents will be notified by their child’s school to let them know the protocol for pickup.

Charter has now hit both our water line and our gas line during their cable installation. Thanks, y’all.

I feel your pain. We have a hole in our driveway waiting to be repaired after the hit our water line and they took out out internet on Black Friday just in time for the weekend. Made doing my online school work interesting to say the least.
