TUSCALOOSA — A Coker man is in custody following an early-morning chase and drug bust on Interstate 20/59, according to Carol Robinson.
Thomas Bradley Walker, 45, of Coker was arrested by Tuscaloosa police, the department announced. Walker was the target of a two-month investigation into illegal drug trafficking.
The West Alabama Narcotics Task Force investigated. Walker led investigators on a brief chase Friday morning, during which time he tried to get rid of evidence according to police.
Agents recovered a large amount of methamphetamine ICE, a stolen AR-15 and an undisclosed amount of cash.
He has been charged with trafficking methamphetamine ICE, receiving stolen property, tampering with physical evidence, resisting arrest, attempting to elude law enforcement and failure to affix a tax stamp. Walker is being held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail with bond set at $529,000.
