From The Trussville Tribune staff reports
TRUSSVILLE — On Friday, a Trussville City School student was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, according to Detective Michael Bruce.
Bruce said the Trussville Police Department was conducting a K9 search of the parking lot of the Hewitt-Trussville Alternative Learning Center located at 601 Parkway Drive.
“TPD’s K9, ‘Leo,’ alerted to a car in the parking lot,” Bruce said. “During the course of an investigation it was discovered the car belonged to a student that was currently enrolled at the ALC. The student was removed from class and advised the reason for investigation.”
A search of the vehicle resulted in the juvenile being placed under arrest for Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
