PRATTVILLE — The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office received the 2017 Governor’s Award for Law Enforcement from the People Against a Littered State in a ceremony held in Prattville yesterday.
The department has been supporting the organization since 2012, with deputies participating in roadside cleanups and helping direct traffic around volunteers.
Deputies have worked with the organization to assist with cleanups in various municipalities and unincorporated areas of Jefferson County to improve public safety by keeping the roadways clean.
