SUMTER COUNTY –According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, two people were killed in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 59 on Wednesday at 4:20 p.m. The wreck occurred one mile north of Livingston in Sumter County. A third person was injured in the wreck
The 2004 Chevrolet Colorado left the roadway and overturned, killing Maria Arteaga, 56, and a 10-year-old child. The driver, Eduardo Arteaga, 61, was injured. He transported to Rush Hospital in Meridian, Miss. All three people were from Gainesville, Georgia.
The investigation into the crash continues.
