People spent more than ever online for Black Friday this year, according to a Reuters report.
In the U.S., online shopping accounted for $7.9 billion of online sales on Black Friday and Thanksgiving, the report says — up 17.9 percent from 2016.
Another $6.6 billion is expected to be generated by “Cyber Monday” on Nov. 27.
Electronics — including televisions, laptops, and gaming consoles — were among the most-purchased items, with 40 percent of purchases made via mobile phone.
