BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Police Department is investigating a shooting that appears to be a murder-suicide that occurred between two brothers.
The victims have been identified as Dewayne Price, 22, and Jeremiah Price, 24.
The incident occurred in the 1200 block of 12th Street North Thursday.
Around 12:20 p.m. officers from the North Precinct responded to the listed location on two males shot, according to a release. Upon arrival, officers located two males lying on the ground outside an apartment suffering from gunshot wounds to the body.
It was discovered that both the victim and the suspect were brothers. A witness reported seeing both brothers arguing before one of the brothers pulled out a handgun and shot the other brother. The mother of both brothers stated they had been arguing over money and began to fight inside of her apartment. After they went outside the older brother shot the younger brother and then turned the gun on himself.
