FAIRFIELD — Fairfield police have arrested one of the parents of a 3-month-old infant who was left brain dead after a domestic dispute between the child’s parents Monday, according to WVTM 13.
Officers found the child Monday at the Mattie Gill Jackson housing community after responding to a reported domestic dispute.
The infant was later pronounced brain dead at Children’s of Alabama from an injury that was said to appear to be caused by blunt force trauma.
The identity of the parent taken into custody has yet to’s be released, and the parents’ four other children have been taken into protective custody.
