From the Trussville Tribune staff reports
Antwone Wilson, the second of two escapees from the St. Clair County Correctional Facility, was captured by U.S. Marshals in Florida early Saturday, Carol Robinson reports.
The 27-year-old was found at a hotel in Titusville, Florida, where he surrendered; he now awaits extradition back to Alabama.
Wilson escaped from prison five days ago along with Ronald Odell King; King was captured at Birmingham’s Elyton Village public housing community on Tuesday.
Wilson is serving a life sentence for several robberies on Birmingham’s Southside, from Feb. 15 to Feb. 29, 2015. He’d previously been sentenced to three years in prison for robbery charges in 2010, though he’d been released on probation in 2011.
Both men now face additional escape charges.
