TRUSSVILLE — St. Vincent’s Trussville, the new outpatient center that opened this month, will be hosting several events during the month of January. The center is located at 7201 Happy Hollow Road.
Wellness Screenings: Jan. 10, 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
To stay abreast of your numbers, cholesterol, blood glucose, blood pressure, BMI and waist circumference screenings will be held by appointment at St. Vincent’s Trussville. Results and interpretation in 15 minutes with a simple finger stick. The cost is $20. Please call 408-6550 to register.
Scale Back Alabama: Weigh in Jan. 22-26, 8 a.m.- 4 p.m.
Scale Back Alabama is a free statewide weight loss contest designed to encourage Alabamians to get healthy with encouragement from a partner (only two to a team) with the help of online modules. St. Vincent’s Trussville is a weigh in/weigh out site for the contest.
Teams that lose 10 pounds each in the 10 weeks are eligible to win $1000, $500 or $250. Individuals who meet the goal but are not eligible for the team prizes may win one of the 40 $100 prizes.
